My Horses

My current horse is Peter, also known as LORD PETER III.

He is 15 years old, 16.1hh Westphalian by Lord Caletto x Pilot Girl

He has approximately £210 BSJA winnings and has won at Newcomers level.  I believe this horse will be the best I have ever had the fortune of having on loan, but time will tell, he has big boots to fill to be as special as Jess was!! You can read a bit more about Pete here.

My previous horses are 2 lovely mares.  I am extremely grateful to the owner of these horses in allowing me to have them on loan as they are both fantastic horses that have taught me an awful lot.

I will firstly introduce the horse I had most recently.

Lucy is an 8 year old, 16.1hh Grey Mare, by UPTONS TRUE DIAMOND

Her competition name is UPTONS DIAMOND JUBILEE

I have been riding Lucy for about 12 months and have had her with me on our yard since September 2009. During this time I have mainly concentrated on Show Jumping, gaining all our British Novice double clears for 2010. My hopes for Lucy are to do British Eventing competitions starting at BE90 level and moving up to BE100 level by the end of the 2010 season. In early April we completed out first BE90 event, jumping a double clear within the time to finish 11th, which i was thrilled with.

Lucy is a lovely horse with good paces, a big clean jump and a brilliant temperament. She is an ideal event horse as she has a great attitude and loves the job, she is very rideable and she always tries to please. I sometimes pinch myself for being so lucky to get the ride of such a lovely horse!

My other horse is Jess, who I had on loan since 2002.

Jess
is a 20 year old, 15 hands Chestnut mare, also by UPTONS TRUE DIAMOND.

Her competition name is DIAMOND FREE SPIRIT.

Jess is now retired from competition, but up until summer of 2009 she was jumping BSJA classes up to 1.15m, her notable successes are winning over £300, double clears in Newcomers, qualified for the Scope Festival on two occasions in 1.05m and 1.15m classes, and being a part of the Pony Club Area Team who qualified for the National Championships. Jess has also won countless unaffiliated classes including Cheshire Championships, Trailblazers second rounds, Aintree International Championships and being placed in the Trailblazers Final to name just a few. Jess has been a truly amazing horse for me, she has given me some amazing experiences and helped me gain confidence and improve my jumping. She is quirky but despite her size she is talented and super careful, and has the heart of a lion.
